    We currently have an opening for an Assistant Marketing Manager. The Assistant Marketing Manager will assist in the development and implementation of the strategic marketing plan for Pike & Rose, a premier mixed-use neighborhood located in North Bethesda, Maryland. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and will support business development initiatives and manage programs and promotions to strengthen brand awareness, increase traffic, drive customer engagement and support the unique opportunities and challenges of a dynamic mixed-use neighborhood.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the development and manage aspects of the strategic road map and annual plan, including key signature events, budget management and analytical reports.
    • Track monthly marketing expenses and variances of the marketing budget.
    • Oversees B2C communications via a comprehensive editorial calendar, to ensure a holistic on-brand/on-message approach, including the strategic use of digital communication channels: website social media.
    • Continuously evolve digital communication channels to improve return on investment, optimize traffic and revenue key performance indicators, including click through rate, open rates, merchant sales lift, engagement and retention.
    • Streamline B2B communication with merchants and outside partners via in-person, phone, mail, e-mail, etc., that develops and maintains a synergy of goals and expectations.
    • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify business development goals and opportunities, and generate innovative ideas to engage key audiences.
    • Coordinate with graphic designer and agency partners to establish workflow and timelines.
    • Perform administrative duties as needed including but not limited to invoice research, check request submission, special mailings, collateral distribution and fielding telephone calls.
    • Provide onsite leadership and/or assistance for special events.

     

    Qualifications

    • 3-4 years marketing/business development experience including significant social media account management responsibilities
    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
    • Ability to effectively interact with internal and external team members and contacts
    • A self-starter, who is able to handle multiple projects from conception to completion
    • A creative thinker, with strong strategic and analytical skills
    • Strong communication, organization and multi-task management skills
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline oriented environment
    • Excellent copy-writer with verbal and organizational skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MailChimp and Wordpress. Other: Adobe InDesign, Meltwater
    • Flexibility and ability to work nights and weekends is required when marketing events require preparation or attendance
