If so, Federal Realty Investment Trust has an opportunity for you to join our Leasing team in the role of Leasing Coordinator with the goal of becoming one of our future Leasing Agents. We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, ambitious individual with a learning mindset, comfortable starting in a support role with the drive and determination to grow into a Leasing Agent. The Leasing Coordinator will primarily be responsible for conducting research, utilizing data, social media outlets, and other avenues to gain insight and to support the Leasing Agents in connecting with the newest and up-incoming tenants in the retail industry. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate with a genuine interest in growing his/her career in the real estate industry.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify retail leasing trends
  • Prospect for potential tenants by networking, cold-calling, and via online searches, social media outlets, reviews (i.e. Yelp, Zagat, etc.), and other resources
  • Analyze data collected and work with Leasing Agent(s) to review research conclusions and identify viable tenants for the FRIT portfolio
  • Work with Leasing Agent(s) on building relationships with potential tenants identified
  • Support Leasing Agent(s) in the lease negotiation process by participating in crafting strategy, and assisting with leasing transactions
  • Support Leasing Agent(s) on completing lease renewals
  • Conduct market reviews and site visits as needed
  • Help foster relationships with current tenants by conducting check-in calls and other activities as assigned
  • Prepare monthly leasing reports
  • Perform other duties and projects, as assigned

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of sales, marketing or relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, real estate or a related management degree, preferred
  • Desire to learn about and work in the retail real estate industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Comfortable interacting and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Must be a team player with a strong work ethic
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
